As a growing interest in online voting emerges and companies like Election.com have completed several mostly-successful medium-scale elections online, an Internet voting service is inviting hackers from around the world to test its particular system's defenses.

SafeVote Inc. is testing its Internet voting system in Contra Costa County this week. As part of the preparations for live elections online in Californian precincts, the company is asking Internet users to attempt break-ins.

To make it easier for hackers the company has posted various information online, including network configuration, details about all secret keys, and a range of computer IP addresses.
