(Napster hadn't even crossed founder Shawn Fanning's mind at that point, much less become the powerhouse it now is.) Starting Friday, the consortium wants you to visit HackSDMI.org to see if you can hack SDMI. The challenge is open until Oct. 7. "By successfully breaking the SDMI protected content, you will play a role in determining what technology SDMI will adopt," says the release trumpeting the contest.
