IT security threats 'can be overstated' |

Web hosting users should not exaggerate the risks associated with online activity, it has been claimed.
According to Tony Neate, managing director of Get Safe Online, the fear of succumbing to a computer virus is potentially more concerning than the reality.
He suggested that, providing basic precautions have been taken, businesses and consumers should be defended against the majority of threats.
Mr Neate did stress the importance of keeping IT security up to date, however, given that the number of hacker attacks will increase as more people use the internet.
