Hackers Pose Serious Threat |

Many Ohio Valley residents are well aware of our dependence on computerized systems for the basics of life, including electric power. Generating plants throughout the Ohio Valley, along with the power grids they feed, rely on electronic controls.
That made a report this week, that computer hackers have begun focusing their evil on power plants and other infrastructure, especially worrisome to Northern Panhandle and East Ohio residents.
Industries have been aware of the threat for many years. Safeguards are in place to block hackers from inserting malicious programs into many business and industrial computers.
