Here is a brief abstract put together by Guardian Digital that shows security can be achieved with complete functionality, and what other platforms would look like after secure concepts are implemented.
Secure By Designsets out in detail the security model Guardian Digital has followed in making EnGarde Secure Linux, a consistent and comprehensively secure environment for offering Internet services. The document describes EnGarde's open source origins, design philosophy, and use of advanced security tools like SELinux and Snort to defend against specific attacks and compromises and explains the unique contributions of Guardian Digital's WebTool admin interface and the Guardian Digital Secure Network (GDSN) to EnGarde's high-security environment.
