Hacks/Cracks So now you can pay somebody to do your cracking for you: "It was inevitable that services would be sold to people who bought the malware toolkits but didn‘t know how to configure them," Vajdic said. "Not only can you buy configuration as a service now, you can have the malware operated for you, too. We saw evidence of that this year." But there is a downside to this: researchers buy the kits and disseminate them: "The kits come with maintenance, support and a user guide," Dica said.

I agree with some of the comments, malware as a service really has picked up a lot these last few years. Dancho's blog has a lot about it and he keeps us informed pretty regularly with new finds. I especially liked one of his latest ones where some malware type was crying over losing 100k botnet to another hacker and wanted to know how to secure his new 30k botnet so it won't happen again.....lolololol ;)
