Security The Metasploit Project develops a set of security tools to create and execute exploit code on remote computers. Some people say Metasploit makes the job easier for black hat hackers who attack networks looking for vulnerabilities to take advantage of; others says the tool helps network security administrators do a better job of finding and repairing weaknesses before the bad guys get to them. H.D. Moore, the 20-something creator of the Metasploit Project, says it all depends on your perspective. Have you ever used Metasploit? This article looks at the creator of Metasploit H.D. Yes I have used it, and have contributed to it back in the early days. My opinion is that there are some valuable tools in MS and as a white hat (now), I need just as good if not better tools then the blackhats have. It's like the cold war, the more one side gets up, the other side will put forth effort to stalemate the situation. I feel the whitehats are probably always on the side that have to come up though.

Good point, Tools like metapoit are a way for security people to keep up with the black hats
