I don't to many things to keep my web application secure but input validation is one I do allways

I am using struts 2.I have written my customized java class to do the form validation with in the action class I want to render the validation error messages from a property file bingo en ligne and not hard coding it into the code.What i understand is the struts Action Support class has add Action Error(String message) which takes a error messages,Can anyone help me how can I set the error key in the validation class?
