AlgoSec Raises Firewall Security Risk Management Bar Print E-mail
User Rating:      How can I rate this item?
Source: Help Net Security - Posted by Bill Keys
Firewalls AlgoSec announced its latest version which provides a web-user interface to ensure policy compliance and maximize network efficiency. AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer solutions provide risk management, change management, automated audit, and security and policy compliance capabilities in easy to deploy and use offerings. AlgoSec’s solutions do this by delivering unmatched analysis, visibility and intelligence into an enterprise’s firewall configuration and policy.

In addition to providing automatic notifications whenever a firewall configuration has been changed, the potential impact of those changes and subsequent recommendations, the newest version allows IT, auditors and consultants using the convenience of a web interface to:

• Launch custom queries and run firewall analyses from anywhere • View in near real time whether firewalls are blocking operational traffic • Control each user’s permissions on a per-firewall basis • Generate specific compliance reports (e.g. Sarbanes-Oxley) to verify firewall policy is in alignment.

Firewall Operations ManagementWritten by Anthony on 2007-08-12 06:43:31
Hi,

I would like to comment that there are other solutions in this space besides Algosec.
I tested few of those including Firemon and Tufin SecureTrack.
In my opinion Tufin SecurTrack is more robust and intuitive.
Algosec is not bad but still needs to mature..

Thanks,
Anthony

Anthony,
what is your opinion about Firemon of Secure Passage? Is it better than Algosec/Tufin or not?

Best regards,
Enrique M.
