Ubuntu A flaw was discovered in the IPSec key exchange server "racoon". Remote attackers could send a specially crafted packet and disrupt established IPSec tunnels, leading to a denial of service.

A security issue affects the following Ubuntu releases:

Ubuntu 5.10
Ubuntu 6.06 LTS
Ubuntu 6.10

This advisory also applies to the corresponding versions of
Kubuntu, Edubuntu, and Xubuntu.

The problem can be corrected by upgrading your system to the
following package versions:

Ubuntu 5.10:
  racoon                                   1:0.6-1ubuntu1.2

Ubuntu 6.06 LTS:
  racoon                                   1:0.6.5-4ubuntu1.1

Ubuntu 6.10:
  racoon                                   1:0.6.6-1ubuntu1.1

In general, a standard system upgrade is sufficient to effect the
necessary changes.

Details follow:

A flaw was discovered in the IPSec key exchange server "racoon".  Remote 
attackers could send a specially crafted packet and disrupt established 
IPSec tunnels, leading to a denial of service.
