Blue Lane Launches VirtualShield to Boost VM Security and Threat Detection

Starting to get worried about the exposure of those thousands of virtual servers in your data center? The bad news is no one knows for sure what security threats lurk in the virtual world. The good news is, security tools are finally starting to emerge.

Blue Lane Technologies on Thursday will release software that basically shields a virtual machine while it automatically detects vulnerabilities and applies patches. VirtualShield runs on VMWare's ESX server, sitting between the hypervisor and the VMs.
