EnGarde Secure Linux v3.0.1 Now Available Print E-mail

Vendors/Products Guardian Digital is happy to announce the release of EnGarde Secure Community 3.0.1 (Version 3.0, Release 1). This release includes several bug fixes and feature enhancements to the Guardian Digital WebTool, the SELinux policy, and the LiveCD environment.

The following reported bugs from are fixed in this release:

#0000016 Users can not add/edit web files
#0000015 webtool can not stop MySQL
#0000012 The WebTool errors-out if /etc/resolv.conf is empty
#0000011 Users cannot upload files via FTP
#0000014 PHP 4.4.0 is out
#0000013 PHP not built with GD libary
#0000008 The WebTool should give the user some feedback upon errors.
#0000007 Grammar mistakes in the 'Service Configuration' module.
#0000005 Pine version 4.64 is out
#0000004 Problem when creating a second Virtual Host on the same IP
#0000003 MySQL 5.0.13 is out
#0000002 The LiveCD should set the WebTool password
#0000001 The 'logrotate' package does not have SELinux support enabled

Several other bugs are fixed in this release as well.

New features include:

* New Network Intrusion Detection WebTool front-end to the Snort IDS.

* The latest stable versions of MySQL (5.0.13) and PHP (4.4.0).

* Several new installable packages such as asterisk, awstats, cdrtools/dvdrtools, and net-snmp.

All new users downloading EnGarde Secure Linux for the first time or users who use the LiveCD environment should download this release.

Users who are currently using EnGarde Secure Linux do not need to download this release -- they can update their machines via the Guardian Digital Secure Network WebTool module.
