"Immunix" is a family of tools designed to enhance system integrity by hardening system components and platforms against security attacks. The Immunix OS is a Linux platform hardened with the Immunix tool set. Immunix works by hardening existing software components and platforms so that attempts to exploit security vulnerabilities will fail safe, i.e. the compromised process halts instead of giving control to the attacker, and then is restarted. The software components are effectively "laminated" with Immunix technologies to harden them against attack.
