Jeff Moad from PC Week writes, "It's probably not surprising that, even while last week's denial-of-service attacks were raging across the Web, the conspiracy theories already were beginning. While some investigators in search of culprits pointed fingers at hackers with pen names such as Mixter and Coolio, a group of apparent X-Files exiles began to whisper darkly that goverment conspiracies were behind the sudden rash of security breakdowns. Look no further than the NSA or the Air Force Information Warfare Center for the source of the DoS attacks, they said. The feds want an excuse to plant monitoring devices on the Web"
