Winnuke, teardrop, Land, bonk, snork, and smurf are but a few of the denial of service attacks that crash systems or clog networks. While these attacks are unpleasant enough, a new dimension has been added: These attacks can now be launched simultaneously from hundreds of remote-controlled attack servers. "
